Feature & Follow Friday October 19

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read.

Q: When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

I don't think I have a "usual" genre that I read. I usually pretty open to everything as long as it sounds interesting. Historical fiction is probably the genre that I don't really read a lot, but when I do there is one series that I absolutely love which is the Bloody Jack series by L.A Meyer. It's not something I would have ever picked up on my own if it wasn't for some pushing from a friend that is really into historical fiction.

  2. I hadn't heard of that series before, so thanks for sharing. I don't read much historical fiction either, but it ends up that one of my fave books this year is from that genre.

  3. Hopping through. I've only read one of the Bloody Jack books and I thought it was okay. I've flipped through a few more to see where the series goes.

    1. I think listening to the audio versions of the books made them a better experience. Katherine Kellgren is amazing.
