Intangible - J. Meyers

Twins Sera and Luke Raine have a well-kept secret—she heals with a touch of her hand, he sees the future. All their lives they’ve helped those in need on the sly. They’ve always thought of their abilities as being a gift.
Then Luke has a vision that Sera is killed. That gift they’ve always cherished begins to feel an awful lot like a curse. Because the thing about Luke’s ability? He’s always right. And he can’t do anything about it.

It seems like it took me forever to get through this book, not because I didn't enjoy it, but because some reality land issues kept dragging me out of fiction land.

It's books like this that remind me why I love to read. When I received the review request I thought that it sounded just like something I would enjoy, and it more than surpassed my expectations.

Intangible definitely goes on my list of favorite books I've read this year. J. Meyers did a great job of telling an amazing story with awesome characters that you can connect with. The plot was well thought out and flowed really well. There was no time where I felt the story dragged or seemed rushed. The story is told through multiple point of views, which normally I don't like, but the way it was done here made the story more interesting and was not confusing at all. I enjoyed being able to get into the minds of all the different characters, it made for great character development.

I loved the premise of the story with Luke and Sera having these powers and trying to keep them a secret. I liked that the story focused more on the sibling relationship between Luke and Sera instead of being all about a romantic relationship between Sera and Marc. There is a lot of mystery throughout the story and you can tell early on there is a lot more going on then just the twins trying to keep their secret while Luke figures out how to stop his vision from coming true. It was fun to watch how everything unfolded and to get a glimpse of their importance to a world they never imagined existed.

I loved the characters, all of them were so well developed. Luke and Sera were very  likeable characters who were very loyal and giving people. I wanted to not like Marc at the beginning since he seemed to be up to no good, but he grew on me rather quickly. Jonas was an enigma I wasn't sure which way he was gonna end up going through mos the story and it kept me wanting to find out more about him. And Fey well she's just a total butt kicker there is no doubt about that.

The ending left me satisfied with how the story ended, but still left some questions that made me want to read more. One thing that bothers me sometimes about a debut book in a series is that they seem to spend a lot of time doing build up for the rest of the series and they are not able to stand on their own. With a slightly different ending Intangible could have very easily been a stand alone novel and I would have been content with how it ended. But since I know that there will be more to this story I'm super excited to see what come next.
