Feature & Follow Friday September 14

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read.

Q: What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

I don't know if it was that it was so much hyped up or that it didn't live up to my own expectations, but I had a hard time getting into Silence by  Becca Fitzpatrick. It just didn't do it for me.

  3. I actually liked Silence. I didn't think it was a 5 star read but still enjoyed it.

  4. Ah yes Silence. That book was quite different, and I can understand how not everyone would like it.

  5. Oooh, I've never read this one. Could you link us to your review... or tell us what didn't do it for you? It's hard to make a choice, as a reader, without knowing more!

  6. Silence wasn't my favorite of the Hush, Hush series, but I did like it. I think my favorite of the series was the first one, Hush, Hush. I am excited to read Finale, though, but I am glad that it is the final book. I am getting a little sick of all these trilogies and books of four.

  7. I have read the first two books in the Hush, Hush series but not Silence. I liked the second book better than the first. I guess I'll have to see how I like Silence.

  8. I've never heard of this book but I think you make an important point about the effects of excessive hype. It can turn a lot of people off who then never read the book because of the hype or alternatively as in your case the hype builds up expectations so much that the book can't meet them.
This is my first time following a FF and my first time to your blog too.

    Thanks
